Your questions answered

We believe informed clients make the best decisions about their tattoos. Here's what you should know before booking.

How do I book an appointment at Veritro?

You can reach us by phone at +1 204-555-0189 or send an email to contact@veritro.org with your tattoo idea. We'll discuss your concept, schedule a consultation if needed, and find an appointment time that works for you. Walk-ins are sometimes possible for smaller pieces, but we recommend booking ahead.

How is tattoo pricing determined?

Pricing depends on several factors: the size of the tattoo, complexity of the design, placement on the body, and estimated session time. We provide quotes after discussing your specific concept during a consultation. Contact us with your idea and reference images for an estimate.

Do I need a consultation before getting tattooed?

For custom pieces and larger projects, we recommend a consultation so we can understand your vision and create a design that fits your body and style. For simpler work like small minimalist tattoos, we can often discuss details over email or phone. Consultations are free of charge.

What styles do your artists work in?

Our team works across a range of styles including minimalism, fine line work, blackwork, traditional, realism, and large-scale pieces. During your consultation, we can match you with an artist whose strengths align with your desired aesthetic.

How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

Get a good night's sleep, eat a proper meal before arriving, and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Bring a valid ID if it's your first visit.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, debit, and major credit cards. For larger pieces requiring multiple sessions, we can discuss payment arrangements. A deposit is typically required when booking to secure your appointment time.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients. Deposits may be forfeited for no-shows or last-minute cancellations without notice.

Do you do cover-up tattoos?

Yes, cover-up work is one of our services. The process requires assessing your existing tattoo to determine what's possible. Send us a clear photo of the tattoo you'd like covered, along with any ideas for the new design, and we'll discuss options during a consultation.

How long does a tattoo session typically last?

Small minimalist pieces may take 30 minutes to an hour. Medium-sized tattoos usually require 2-4 hours. Large-scale projects are done across multiple sessions, each lasting 3-5 hours depending on your comfort level. We'll give you a time estimate during your consultation.

What aftercare instructions do you provide?

After your session, we'll walk you through proper aftercare and provide written instructions to take home. This includes guidance on cleaning, moisturizing, sun protection, and what activities to avoid during healing. We're available for follow-up questions if anything concerns you.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Yes, we offer touch-up services for tattoos done at our studio. Minor touch-ups within a reasonable timeframe after your original appointment are often included. For older tattoos or work done elsewhere, we can assess the piece and provide a quote.

Is parking available near the studio?

Yes, our location at 33 Portage Ave in downtown Winnipeg has parking nearby. There are also several cafes in the area if your companion needs somewhere comfortable to wait. The studio is easily accessible from any neighborhood in the city.

Do you do piercings as well?

Yes, we offer piercing services at the studio. Contact us to ask about available piercing options, jewelry selection, and booking an appointment. The same standards of hygiene and care apply to our piercing work.

What is the minimum age requirement?

Clients must be 18 years or older with valid government-issued photo ID. We do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent. This policy applies to all services including piercings.
