Welcome to Veritro. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services and your relationship with our tattoo studio. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
Veritro is a tattoo studio located at 33 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2B5, Winnipeg, Canada. For any questions regarding these terms, please contact us at contact@veritro.org.
2. Services
Veritro provides tattooing and piercing services, including but not limited to custom tattoos, cover-up tattoos, miniature tattoos, design development, tattoo touch-ups, artist consultations, and piercing services.
3. Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to receive tattoo or piercing services at Veritro. Valid government-issued photo identification is required at the time of your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide adequate proof of age.
4. Appointments and Deposits
4.1 Booking
Appointments can be scheduled by contacting us directly. A consultation may be required before booking certain services.
4.2 Deposits
We may require a deposit to secure your appointment. Deposit requirements and amounts will be communicated at the time of booking.
4.3 Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. Deposits may be non-refundable for cancellations made without adequate notice. Specific cancellation policies will be communicated when you book your appointment.
5. Health and Safety
5.1 Client Disclosure
You are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, skin conditions, medications, or other health factors that may affect the tattooing or piercing process. This includes but is not limited to:
- Blood disorders or conditions affecting healing
- Skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis
- Allergies to inks, metals, or latex
- Pregnancy or nursing
- Immune system conditions
- Current medications including blood thinners
5.2 Sobriety
We will not provide services to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This is for your safety and to ensure proper healing.
5.3 Hygiene Standards
Veritro maintains strict hygiene and sterilization protocols in accordance with applicable health regulations.
6. Consent
Before receiving any tattoo or piercing service, you will be required to sign a consent form. This form acknowledges that you understand the nature of the procedure, potential risks, and aftercare requirements.
7. Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential for healing and the final appearance of your tattoo or piercing. Veritro will provide aftercare instructions, and it is your responsibility to follow them. We are not responsible for complications arising from failure to follow aftercare instructions or from external factors beyond our control.
8. Touch-Ups
Veritro offers touch-up services. The terms and conditions for touch-ups, including any applicable time frames or fees, will be discussed with you at the time of your original service or upon request.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Custom Designs
Custom artwork created by Veritro artists for your tattoo remains the intellectual property of the artist or Veritro unless otherwise agreed in writing. You receive the right to wear the tattoo but may not reproduce, distribute, or use the design for commercial purposes without permission.
9.2 Reference Materials
If you provide reference images or request designs based on existing artwork, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use such materials. Veritro is not liable for any intellectual property disputes arising from client-provided references.
10. Pricing and Payment
Prices for services vary based on the complexity, size, placement, and time required. A quote will be provided before your service begins. Final pricing may differ from initial estimates if the scope of work changes. Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged.
11. Refunds
Due to the permanent nature of tattoos and piercings, refunds are generally not available once a service has been performed. If you have concerns about your service, please contact us to discuss your options.
12. Limitation of Liability
Veritro takes all reasonable precautions to provide safe, quality services. However, tattooing and piercing carry inherent risks including but not limited to infection, allergic reactions, scarring, and dissatisfaction with results. By using our services, you acknowledge these risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veritro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.
13. Right to Refuse Service
Veritro reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion. This includes but is not limited to situations where:
- The client is under 18 years of age
- The client appears intoxicated
- The requested design is deemed inappropriate
- The client is uncooperative or disrespectful
- Health concerns make the procedure inadvisable
14. Photographs
Veritro may photograph completed work for portfolio and promotional purposes. If you do not wish your tattoo or piercing to be photographed or shared, please inform us before your appointment.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be effective when posted. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
